C R Mackintosh Flat Lantern.

Aged copper ceiling light with brass fittings.
Grass green leaded glass petal motif panels to the four sides.

Supplied complete with ceiling rose and period style silk electric flex.

Also available in silver plate.

Designed c1900 and used extensively at Mackintosh's flat at 120 Mains Street, Glasgow.

Mackintosh then moved them to his new house 18 Southpark Avenue in 1906

where they were used with electric fittings.
Similar designs were also used at the white room of Ingram Street Tea Rooms in 1900.
Several other examples are in the collection at the Hunterian Art Gallery, Glasgow.
