William Morris 'Bird' fabric - Panel No 1

An oak framed antique panel of William Morris 'Bird', in the rare red colourway.

Jacquard-woven wool double cloth, designed in 1878.

This fabric design can be seen in Kelmscott Manor and as a wall hanging at Standen.

Morris actually designed it for the drawing room at Kelmscott House, Hammersmith.

Frame size 16" high x 25" wide, fabric size 7.5" x 17"

This panel displays really well, colours & condition are excellent.
