William Morris Framed Antique 'Bird' fabric

An oak framed antique sample of William Morris 'Bird'

woven wool double cloth designed in 1878, in the scarce green colourway.

This fabric design can be seen in Kelmscott Manor and as a wall hanging at Standen.

Morris actually designed it for the drawing room at Kelmscott House, Hammersmith.

Frame size 13.5" wide x 11.5" high, fabric size 7" x 4.5"
