Charles Robert Ashbee - Two pairs of copper/brass door handles. Removed from CR Ashbee's family home the Magpie & Stump, Cheyne Walk, Chelsea, built 1893-4, which Ashbee designed and furnished with works made at his then London based Guild and School of Handicraft. Before its demolition in 1969 the Victoria & Albert museum rescued many items, including examples of these handles for its own collection, further items were also removed by the Ashbee family which included these handles.
